The Challenge
The project presented a demanding execution environment, with the client requiring a high-quality workplace solution within a defined project schedule. Although furniture production was completed as planned, the project site was not ready to receive the material, resulting in delays in dispatch and installation.
Due to the extended warehousing period, the completed furniture had to be securely held at our facility for more than 45 days until the site was ready. The prolonged warehousing also impacted some of the workstation screens, requiring careful assessment and replacement to ensure the final installation met the expected quality standards.
Even after delivery, the furniture remained on-site for approximately 4–5 months as the project site was still not fully ready for installation and handover. Throughout this extended period, we remained flexible and closely coordinated with the client to manage the material safely and maintain project continuity.

Execution Challenges
During installation, the team encountered significant site-level challenges, including a deviation of approximately 400–450 mm between the actual electrical points and conduit locations and the approved layout. This discrepancy had the potential to affect cable management, workstation alignment, and the overall appearance of the installation.
- How did the team adapt the furniture installation to unexpected electrical deviations?
- How did the team adapt to unexpected site conditions?
- How were changes in the approved layout managed after production and dispatch?
- How did the team maintain the quality, functionality, and aesthetics of the workspace?

A Proactive Approach
One of the key strengths of the project was the team’s ability to respond proactively to challenges rather than allowing them to affect the overall project experience.
With the site not being ready despite production being completed, secure warehousing was provided at our facility for more than a month. This ensured that the completed furniture remained protected until installation could proceed.
The decision to support the client without applying additional holding or demurrage charges demonstrated flexibility and strengthened the overall client relationship.
What Made the Project Unique?
The project was executed in a highly competitive bidding environment, with the client having an exceptionally short timeline of 10 days to evaluate potential solutions.
To provide the client with a firsthand experience of our product quality and workmanship within the evaluation timeline, we proactively arranged visits to our previously executed EY Kolkata project. This gave the client an opportunity to experience the solutions in a live workplace environment and gain confidence in our design, quality, and execution capabilities.
Regular follow-ups, calls, and email discussions helped establish confidence in our capabilities. Despite strong competition from other vendor, our responsiveness, commitment, and proven execution capabilities helped differentiate our offering and contributed to securing the project.

Solution Delivered
The Jupiter Wagon project involved delivering a comprehensive range of workplace solutions across 20,000 sq. ft., including 250+ chairs, 80+ workstations, 120+ hanging pedestals, 30+ cubicles, 15+ cabin tables, meeting tables, storage units with integrated planters, and other supporting furniture elements. Together, these solutions were designed to create a functional, flexible, and cohesive corporate workplace aligned with the client’s operational and aesthetic requirements. Despite the scale of the project and the execution challenges, the site was successfully completed and handed over within just 30 days.
Beyond the scale of the furniture delivered, the project required a high degree of flexibility and on-site problem-solving. Completed furniture was securely held in warehouse for 45+ days without additional holding or demurrage charges, ensuring that the client’s project could progress despite delays in site readiness.
The team also developed custom wire-snake solutions for both desk-based and panel-based workstations to effectively manage deviations in electrical and conduit locations. Where required, on-site panel modifications were carried out to accommodate actual site conditions while maintaining a clean and seamless finish.
Following production and dispatch, changes were also made to the layout of one floor. The team worked closely with the client to assess the revised requirements and implement the best possible solution on-site. Through careful coordination, customisation, and responsive execution, the project maintained its intended functionality, aesthetics, quality, and workplace experience despite evolving site conditions.

The Outcome
Despite delays caused by site readiness and unforeseen site conditions, the project team maintained a flexible and solution-oriented approach throughout the execution.
By combining proactive client support, on-site customisation, effective cable management, and close coordination, the project was successfully completed on 5 July 2026, covering approximately 20,000 sq. ft.
The project demonstrated Rockworth’s ability to adapt to challenging site conditions while maintaining quality, functionality, aesthetics, and client confidence.
Commitment Beyond Delivery
The Jupiter Wagon project reflects our ability to go beyond standard execution—supporting clients through unforeseen delays, adapting solutions to actual site conditions, and maintaining quality even when circumstances change.
