Through Siragugal, we aim to make learning more accessible by combining reading with opportunities for creativity, exploration, and holistic development.

A New Space for Learning in Pallikondapattu

On 4 October 2026, Siragugal Library & Learning Centre was inaugurated in Pallikondapattu, Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. Supported by Rockworth as a CSR partner and implemented through CLE Trust, this initiative marks an important step towards creating a more enriching learning environment for children in Pallikondapattu village, Tamil Nadu.

Designed to serve students from Classes 1 to 8, the centre can accommodate approximately 50 students a day. It also extends its learning resources to villagers and graduates preparing for competitive examinations, making it a valuable resource for the wider community.

Learning Beyond Textbooks and Classrooms

Education is not limited to what children learn from textbooks. Exploring new opportunities, asking questions, and expressing creativity through active engagement, with the world around them play important roles in children’s development.

Siragugal, meaning wings, represents the opportunity for children to discover their interests, develop their abilities, and explore possibilities beyond their everyday surroundings Alongside reading and academic learning, children are encouraged to participate in activities such as nature education, arts and crafts, and physical activities. These experiences can help them discover new interests, develop confidence, foster curiosity, and build meaningful connections with others, while encouraging a lifelong love of learning.

The inauguration of Siragugal Library & Learning Centre marks the beginning of a journey that brings together the joy of reading and the opportunities offered by experiential learning. As the centre welcomes children and the wider community, its vision extends beyond providing access to books and learning resources. It seeks to create an environment where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is nurtured, and every child is given the opportunity to explore their potential.
