- PMC (Project Management Consultant): CBRE
This strong stakeholder alignment enabled efficient decision-making and smooth project progression.
CLIENT CHALLENGES
Prior to project execution, the client faced challenges in finalizing modular furniture shop drawings and obtaining timely design sign-offs, which impacted the initial planning phase. Additionally, there was a delay in selecting the appropriate chair models for Board Rooms and 2-pax meeting rooms, as these spaces required a balance of comfort, aesthetics, and alignment with global standards.
These factors created a need for close coordination, design clarity, and quicker decision-making to ensure smooth project progression.

SOLUTION & APPROACH
To address the challenges in design finalization, we adopted a collaborative and consultative approach with the client and architect. Chair selection for Board Rooms and 2-pax meeting rooms was streamlined by providing a physical mock-up at the architect’s office, supported by detailed presentations to help evaluate comfort, design, and suitability.
In parallel, multiple coordination meetings were conducted at both the architect’s office and Schneider’s Gurugram office to finalize shop drawings and color finishes as per existing furniture design at their Gurugram office. This hands-on engagement enabled faster decision-making, ensured design alignment, and facilitated timely approvals.
CUSTOMIZED MODULAR SOLUTIONS
The project, worth 2Cr., involved extensive customization of workspace spanning two floors, tailored to Schneider Electric’s specific functional and design requirements.
Key customizations included:
- Workstations: Modesty panels were redesigned to conceal wiring trays, ensuring a cleaner and more refined visual finish.
- Cabins: Standard aluminium flippers were replaced with custom cable cubbies, engineered to accommodate 8-module electrical cut-outs, meeting higher power and connectivity needs.
- Meeting Tables: Certain tables featured customized power poles, designed with an open-side provision to allow easy access and efficient cable housing.
These tailored solutions enhanced aesthetics, functionality, and user convenience, while maintaining alignment with Schneider’s workspace standards.

PROJECT TIMELINE
The project was initiated with the receipt of the Purchase Order in November 2025, followed by a detailed phase of design finalization, approvals, and specification alignment. Production commenced in January 2026 after all requirements were confirmed.
Despite a structured yet time-sensitive schedule, the project was successfully completed within 3 months, ensuring timely delivery in line with Schneider Electric’s expectations.
EXECUTION CHALLENGES
The project encountered several on-site execution challenges, primarily due to delays in site readiness despite timely material delivery. Additionally, there were multiple last-minute revisions in shop drawings, color finishes, and layout orientation, which required continuous adjustments during execution.
Material handling became complex as furniture had to be shifted internally multiple times due to phased site clearance. Since areas were handed over room-wise, installations often required rework and reinstallation, impacting workflow efficiency.

COORDINATION WITH ARCHITECT & PMC
Coordination with the architect and PMC was maintained throughout project handling & execution via continuous communication and regular alignment meetings, ensuring clarity at every stage of the project. Frequent discussions over calls and in-person meetings helped address design updates and execution requirements in real time.
To ensure accuracy in design and finishes, our team also visited Schneider’s Gurgaon office to physically verify and match furniture specifications and color finishes as per existing furniture design at their Gurugram office. This hands-on approach enabled precise alignment with client expectations and facilitated smoother approvals and execution.

INNOVATIVE APPROACH
As part of our commitment to quality and client satisfaction, our team conducted a post-installation site visit to the Bangalore facility, engaging directly with the CBRE team for on-ground feedback and validation.
This proactive approach enabled us to assess installation quality, gather real-time insights, and ensure alignment with client expectations, while also identifying opportunities for further improvement.

STANDOUT FEATURES
A key highlight of the project was its alignment with Schneider Electric’s global standards and sustainability practices. The workspace was designed and executed to meet stringent environmental and quality benchmarks, ensuring long-term performance and responsibility.
To support this, Rockworth provided all necessary certifications, including LEED, BIFMA, and Indoor Air Quality (GOLD), reinforcing compliance with international standards for sustainability, safety, and performance.
